Handmade Blue & White Interlocking Lotus Straight Cup

By artist Arden：When crafting this cup, I wanted to carry the interlocking lotus imagery from Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain into daily use.
Made from high-white porcelain clay, the body is delicate and translucent, warm to the touch like jade—the purest texture of Jingdezhen porcelain. The interlocking lotus pattern is hand-painted with blue and white pigments: indigo vines twist endlessly, with full, vivid treasure flowers, complemented by meander and ruyi cloud patterns at the bottom, a classic paradigm of Ming Dynasty imperial kiln blue and white porcelain. The interlocking lotus symbolizes “endless vitality and lasting prosperity”, a deep wish woven into Jingdehzne porcelain.
The straight cylindrical shape is steady and dignified, perfect for tea, coffee, or latte, securely holding dense milk foam. What’s more, it bridges traditional craft and modern life: high-white porcelain resists extreme temperatures, suitable for oven, microwave, freezer, and dishwasher, allowing daily use without careful handling, integrating ancient Eastern charm into everyday life.
