Hammered Textured Ceramic Vase

By artist Meiji：I hammered the clay while it was still soft, leaving deep cracks and rough ridges across the surface. It’s not smooth, it’s not polished—it’s alive. Run your palm over it, and you’ll feel the grit of the earth, the heat of the kiln, the weight of time. The glaze seeps into those cracks, turning deep crimson at the center to burnt orange at the edges, like the sun bleeding into a desert canyon at the end of the day.We didn’t make this to be “charming.” We made it to be a reminder: beauty doesn’t have to be soft or perfect. Sometimes, the most powerful things are the rough, cracked, sun-baked ones—the ones that have been through fire and still stand tall.
