Hand-Painted Blue & White “Stream Maple Serenity” Aroma Cup

By artist Modu：I use the traditional underglaze blue and red technique, a craft passed down from the imperial kilns of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Every line of the misty mountains, every gnarled branch of the maple tree, every dot of red on the maple leaves, is painted freehand with a fine brush, using mineral cobalt and copper pigments. The scene is named “Curtain Rolls Over Stream Maple”, a poetic vision of autumn mountains by a stream, where the wind lifts the maple leaves like a rolling curtain. It is a scene of quiet serenity, a reminder to slow down, breathe in the aroma of the tea, and find peace in the small moments. Fired at over 1300℃, the pigments fuse permanently with the clear glaze, so the colors will never fade, chip, or leach—safe, durable, and beautiful for a lifetime of tea ceremonies.
