Hand-Painted Strawberry & Panda Ceramic Vase

By artist Taomei：Honestly, when I first started sketching this out, I was just trying to bring together some of my favorite simple pleasures. Picture this: a slow, sunny afternoon picnic. A cool breeze. A blanket in the grass. That’s the exact moment I wanted to capture.
The vase itself has this wonderful, slightly grounded oval shape, and the speckled, stone-like glaze gives it a real tactile, artisanal feel. But it’s that ruffle rim at the top that really does it for me. It adds this lovely, slightly mischievous energy, almost like a vintage picnic blanket or a little crown of flowers.
Then came the fun part—the painting. It’s all freehand. I wanted the strawberries to be vibrant and joyful, so we went with that bright, cheerful red. And the panda—well, he’s just zen. He’s not in a rush; he’s just lounging there in the shade, enjoying the moment. I chose the turquoise-blue for the leaves to give the whole piece a burst of unexpected color, a playful, “why not?” kind of vibe.
