Hand-Painted Sunflower Single-Handle Ceramic Vase

As the artist who painted every sunflower on this vase, I wanted to make something that feels like a hug from summer—something that makes you smile when you walk past it, no matter what kind of day you’re having.
Look at that base color first—it’s not a flat, boring beige. It’s a warm, speckled earth tone, like the dirt in a sunflower field after rain, rough and alive under your fingers. I love that texture because it feels real, like it’s been dug up from the ground, not churned out in a factory. It’s the perfect background for the sunflowers, because sunflowers belong in the dirt, not in a fancy, sterile box.
And those sunflowers? Every single petal is painted by hand. I didn’t use stencils or stamps—just a brush, some glaze, and a lot of patience. I wanted them to look like they’re still growing, reaching for the sun, a little messy and wild, just like real sunflowers. Some petals are brighter, some are a little darker, and that’s on purpose. No two flowers are the same, just like no two days are the same. That’s the magic of hand-painted work, right? Imperfect, but full of life.
